The grants at a glance

  • Prizes for Winners: 5 grants that each include a 1‑year Researcher Standard Subscription worth $1,400, $300 in cash from Gorilla (for example, to buy extra tokens), and $300 CloudResearch credit
  • Career stage: PhD, Postdoctoral and Early Career Researchers (PhD+5 years adjusted for parental leave).
  • Where your university/host organisation is based: Anywhere!
  • Condition: You can only apply if you are not part of a wider Gorilla subscription.
  • Submit: Your research proposal (max. 500 words), how winning this grant would help you (max. 150 words) and your contact information — all until the 26th of November.

Gorilla Experiment Builder is an online tool designed for behavioral research that lets you create, manage, and run your experiment all in one tool. With an easy to use GUI, there’s no need to code! Gorilla supports everything from surveys to complex psychological tasks, including reaction time tasks, games, multiplayer studies, and more.

Participants can take part from anywhere with a browser and an internet connection, in their homes across the world or in the lab. Gorilla makes conducting studies and analyzing the results straightforward with its user-friendly interface and versatile features.

CloudResearch is the best way to recruit participants for online research. Their tools provide academic and market researchers immediate access to millions of diverse, high-quality respondents around the world.

This grant offers free access to all of the Gorilla tools, $300 CloudResearch credit to fund your participant recruitment, plus $300 cash to cover any extras. We’re taking the stress out of funding your study. This grant is meant to enable access for early career researchers (PhD+ 5 years), PhD students and postdocs who want to take their research online or use our cutting edge tools (like Shop Builder, Game Builder, Multiplayer or our Experiment Builder) but haven’t been able so far.
