Covid 19 Map

COVID-19 has left many people feeling scared and vulnerable. When faced with crisis, we can feel paralysed, but here at Gorilla we decided to do what we could to ensure that high quality research is done as quickly and effectively as possible.

Ultimately, it will be the amazing teams of microbiologists and virologists who develop a vaccine for this virus, that solve this pandemic. Until then, we need to change our behaviours. That’s where behavioural researchers can contribute to everyone’s safety.

“People don’t think what they feel, don’t say what they think and don’t do what they say” says preeminent behavioural science champion and marketing guru David Ogilvy.

Gorilla is a powerful and flexible browser-based behavioural research platform for running behavioural studies in the lab or online, without needing to code. During this crisis, when we need to understand behaviour without people leaving the house, it’s the perfect tool for getting accurate behavioural data quickly.

It’s built for behavioural research, so the task builder is designed to run experiments with a trial by trial structure and to collect reaction time data. Between subject designs would allow a research to test different approach to messaging to see which is most impactful.

Gorilla already powers a wide range of research.

There are lots of advanced features that make Gorilla far more powerful than a survey tool. See our support documentation for ideas.

What we’re offering:

The PSA are offering to share study proposals to the PSA network in order to connect interested and available collaborators to high-quality projects concerning COVID-19. The PSA currently comprises over 700 researchers from labs in over 70 countries.

The team at Gorilla has also offered free use of their online experiment builder if it could be helpful for these projects. Founder Jo Evershed is happy to jump on a video call with anyone wanting to explore their functionality further.
